🇧🇩 Our National Flag

Our national flag is the symbol of the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. It is very dear to every citizen of our country. The flag is rectangular in shape. It has a deep green background with a red circle in the middle. The green colour stands for the beauty of our land and the green fields of our country. It also represents youth, hope, and peace. The red circle represents the rising sun and the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War in 1971. We feel proud when we see our national flag flying high in the sky. It reminds us of our long struggle for freedom. We hoist our national flag on important days such as Independence Day and Victory Day. Students, soldiers, and people from all walks of life show respect to the flag. We must always honour our national flag and never do anything that may disrespect it. The national flag unites us as one nation and inspires us to love and serve our country sincerely.

Load Shedding
Load shedding is a common problem in Bangladesh. It means the temporary stopping of electricity supply in some areas for a certain time. When there is not enough electricity production to meet the demand, the government stops power in some places to reduce pressure on the national grid. This is called load shedding. It mainly happens in summer when people use more fans, lights, and air conditioners. Load shedding creates many problems in our daily life. Students cannot study properly at night because there is no light. Offices, factories, and hospitals also face difficulties. Many small businesses suffer loss because their work depends on electricity. People feel very uncomfortable during hot weather. Sometimes water supply is also stopped because electric pumps do not work. However, load shedding can be reduced by increasing power production and using electricity carefully. We should switch off lights, fans, and other electric devices when we do not need them. The government should build more power plants and use solar energy. If we all become aware and careful, we can reduce load shedding and enjoy a better life.

A school magazine

A school magazine is an important part of school life. It is a yearly or half-yearly publication of a school. The students write stories, poems, essays, jokes, and reports for the magazine. Teachers also write helpful articles and messages. It gives students a good chance to show their talent and creativity. When students see their own writing in print, they feel proud and happy. A school magazine also helps students improve their writing and thinking skills. It teaches them how to express their ideas in simple and clear language. Usually, there is an editor, and some students work as members of the magazine committee. They collect writings, check them, and arrange them nicely. The magazine also contains pictures of important school events, such as sports day, annual function, and study tours. It keeps a record of the school’s activities for the whole year. A school magazine creates unity among students and teachers. It increases cooperation and friendship. In fact, a school magazine is like a mirror of a school because it shows the activities, achievements, and talents of the students. Every school should publish a magazine regularly for the benefit of the students
