July Uprising

The July Uprising of 2024 was an important movement in Bangladesh. It began when university students protested against the government job quota system. They wanted fair chances for all students based on merit. At first, the movement was peaceful. Students held rallies, processions, and sit-ins in different cities. Soon, people from other parts of society joined them. Teachers, workers, and ordinary citizens supported the students. During the movement, clashes happened between protesters and law enforcers. Many students were injured, and some people lost their lives. This made the nation very sad. The uprising showed the courage and unity of young people. They raised their voices for justice, equality, and a better future. The July Uprising also taught an important lesson that students can play a strong role in social change. It reminded everyone that peaceful protest is a powerful way to express demands and protect democratic rights.
