A paragraph on Deforestation for students
Deforestation
Deforestation means cutting down trees in large numbers. Trees are our best friends because they give us fresh air to breathe, wood to use, and shade to rest. They also bring rain and keep our environment cool. In Bangladesh, many forests are being cut down every year. People cut trees for wood, furniture, houses, and to make more land for farming. Sometimes trees are burned to clear land quickly. This is very harmful for nature. When we cut too many trees, birds and animals lose their homes. The weather becomes hot and dry. There is less rain, and the soil becomes weak. As a result, floods, droughts, and cyclones become more dangerous. People also suffer from less oxygen and fresh air. Deforestation is one of the main causes of climate change and global warming. To save our country, we must stop cutting trees without reason. If we cut one tree, we should plant two trees in its place. Schools, colleges, and villages should have tree planting programs every year. The government must also take strong steps to protect forests and punish those who cut trees illegally. Everyone should understand the importance of trees in our life. By saving trees, we save animals, birds, nature, and ourselves. A green Bangladesh will give us a healthy and happy life. So, we all must say “No” to deforestation and “Yes” to planting more trees.
